Bachelor of Arts in Communication Disorders and Psychology from Saint Rose. Masters of Science in Education from Sage Graduate School

Amy is currently acting as Site Supervisor of the Amsterdam site. She maintains a speech caseload and oversees classroom curriculum planning/programming within the Amsterdam and Cobleskill sites. She also provides training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and effective teaching techniques to new and current employees. She specializes in providing intense, structured ABA style Speech Therapy and Special Education services to children who are diagnosed with Apraxia of speech and children on the Autistic Spectrum in the individual, small group, and classroom setting. She also specializes in conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA), and setting up home-based and classroom programs while maintaining alignment with current curriculum standards and family needs at the Early Intervention, Preschool, and School-Aged level. Amy graduated from The College of Saint Rose in 2002 with a Bachelor�s degree in Communication Disorders and Psychology. She earned her Master�s degree from Sage Graduate School in December of 2009. Amy currently holds NYS Certification as a Teacher of the Speech and Handicapped, for Birth-6th Grade Special Education, and as an Early Childhood Education Teacher for Birth-2nd Grade. Amy has attended numerous workshops given by Dr. Vincent Carbone and associates, Tom Caffrey, Dr. James Partington, Carol Gray, Stanley Greenspan, Barry Prizant, Sara Rosenfeld-Johnson, Nancy Kaufman, and Tammy Kasper. Amy takes a great deal of pride in furthering her education and expanding her knowledge base as a Professional Educator. She is currently working on her certificate for Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst and plans on pursuing a Certificate in Advanced Study in Education Administration in the near future.
